Finding time for God

Life fleets away in front of the eyes. Time passes by at a speed even unnoticeable to the wise. Daily events and job keep us so busy that often we forget even to reflect upon what is it that’s most important to us. Sometimes we may have the idea that we need to do what is more important to us, but getting carried away by work and tasks that are currently in our hands that we neglect or procrastinate doing the important thing. But if we will think, then we will find that we can make time for almost anything that we like when we have to or when we want to, but we can’t even make time for doing the most important thing of doing work for god. Just think about it. We can make time for anything we like, but not for God. Doesn’t it tell us that we have taken for granted the Love that God has for us and we are not giving that much of importance to what is the most important thing in Life? But doesn’t common sense tell us that we should make it a priority to attend to what is most important? The Lord judges the heart and sees what has taken root in it so that the child is not attending to the father. So before the Lord judges, why should not we correct and put our hearts in the right place and find some time for God everyday amidst all the other things we have to do. Can’t we do this at least for five minutes every day? Are we that occupied? No, we are not and we should take some special time out everyday for God or else the tide of time will carry us away as we get indulged in the affairs of the world more and more.
